Welcoming Back an Extraordinary Talent

Jan Lisiecki’s insightful interpretations, refined technique, and natural affinity for art give him a musical voice that belies his age. At the age of 21, Jan Lisiecki has won acclaim for his distinctive sound and poetic sensibility, thus securing himself a place among the upper echelon of classical musicians. The New York Times calls him a pianist that “makes every note count”. In 2013 at the age of 18, Lisiecki was awarded the Leonard Bernstein Prize and named the Gramophone Magazine Young Artist of the Year. His recordings on the Deutsche Grammophon label are critically acclaimed; his Chopin Etudes disc named the best recording ever made of the Chopin Etudes.  We are thrilled to welcome Jan back for his second performance in the Cecilian Chamber Series!
