Postcard Portables was one of the very early sponsors of the Cecilian Chamber Series. I met the owner of the company, the late Wade Moffatt in 2013, as I was searching out ways to market the series. Wade showed great interest and enthusiasm in this new cultural option, and immediately wanted to become a sponsor by providing us with one of the great Postcard Portables signs.
It was always interesting and meaningful to chat with Wade and I valued his long term experience as a member of the Regina business community. A very important piece of advice Wade gave us was to take the time and effort to create a vision and mission statement for CCS.  “These statements will be your guide into the future.”  We took his advice seriously and we set about this important task with much care and attention to come up with the right wording and tone to reflect exactly what it was we were aiming to do.
  • VISION STATEMENT: Bringing the world stage to Regina
  • MISSION STATEMENT:  Presenting world class chamber music performances and related educational activities to inspire and promote the artistic and cultural life in Regina and area.
Over the past 5 years, as artistic director, I find myself often referring to these statements and every time I think of Wade Moffatt and remember clearly the conversation with him.  The time and effort taken to put our goals and dreams into action has proven to very worthwhile and I find them completely reliable and solid. I am so glad I listened to his advice and even more I am grateful for his interest and commitment to supporting great cultural opportunities for Regina.
In the past two years, his son Kyle Moffatt has continued in the style of his father with his support and enthusiasm. It is the support of the community through people like Wade and Kyle Moffatt that have allowed us to become a recognized and respected cultural entity in Regina. THANK YOU!

BTW – when you see the great sign outside Knox Metropolitan United Church – think of Wade and thank Kyle Moffatt! WE love the signs and so do the artists. You can often see them taking pictures of the sign and see it posted on their Facebook page! Of course we do the same with them in for our own postings.
